I have been leaning towards aftermarket refillable carts and aftermarket ink. But just wondering before making my decision if refilling the OEM carts is a viable option for Epson Surecolor P600.
My google search was futile..
Thanks for sharing your experience. Good CS goes a long way in my book.
I had a wheel bearing replaced once and my CV boot was torn in the process and the joint failed really fast and the mechanic wouldn't even consider he was responsible, I was willing to work with him. We had words and he lost...
So far using new OEM carts/ink that came with 9 ink Epson printer. Planning on third party carts and inks from PC but haven't decided for sure yet.

Maybe some people only want to give their opinion when not...
My intro is a little late since I already started a few threads and have some wonderful replies.
I am a mechanical engineer working for a major defense contractor and I occasionally get to travel to some exotic places like Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Germany, Marshall Islands, Norway etc etc and play...
Well, one good thing, at least in my twisted mind, is to see PC doesn't continue to sell a product that doesn't work. I hope they do right by the customers that invested in a kit that doesn't work.
And glad I didn't go for the wider printer... Actually my decision was based on the Cone Color...
"Why waste time with the limited print features of the other editing programs when you can get get a better utility at modest price."
The ONLY reason I can think of to keep it simpler at the start. I can see both sides of that argument and that's why I started the thread to hear differing...
I am starting printing again and starting from the beginning and I see a number of seasoned printers like the Qimage software for printing with the added bonus of scheduled maintenance prints. Been using PSE 11 so far for prints and PS occasionally.
Should someone relatively new and learning...
When I am ready for roll paper I'll just pick the surface I like and not sweat it but still scratching my head.
I was looking for a place to ask Epson the question but all I saw was a phone number and wasn't in the mood for 300 menu selections only to get disconnected...
I am relaxed. I am am just seeing something that "appears" to be an error and see if someone else might have some insight or be able to reconcile it. Large manufacturers take great pains in what they publish so it's most likely there for a reason.
I made a lot of mistakes my first go around with...
My biggest question is why does Epson specify a roll paper thickness range and none of their papers meet it? In my short search I found NO roll paper that thin. The printer obviously accepts thicker paper than .004 inches (or .11 mm) so why not say so? Looking for an excuse to void warranty...
I saw that setting in an advanced panel about paper configuration. Default comes with a 3 in the editable box and next to it (0.1 mm) is in parenthesis and not editable, which is confusing in and of itself. If it were 0.1 inches and not mm that's almost 3mm so I am unclear what the number in the...
Hi, this is probably a dumb question but... the answer alludes me
Epson specifies roll paper thickness between .003 and .004 inches in the published user manual. I looked on the Epson website and there are NO 13" wide roll papers within that thickness range.
I think a safe assumption is the...
Great points
Although obviously not successful I was attempting to view the prints in the same lighting conditions as the monitor and when I was editing and printing. I tried to stay in subdued light with the monitor not very bright, maybe less than 1/2 way up based on the spider calibration. I...
Ah, I get you now. Yes even in my newbness I know about profiles. Early on in my venture I will stick with an ink supplier that has profiles at least for Epson papers and optionally others just like PC does.
Sample packs are in the plans a bit down the road.
With my 1400 I did have a 3'rd...
I don't know your name so I'll call you Mr. Fingers out of respect. Are you saying PC also sells their own paper? I don't see it on the website or am I not understanding you? I can easily see you and jtoolman are very experienced users and you both seem to like PC and Cone but I only see a CISS...
@jtoolman . First of all I hope this isn't too far off topic or too old a post.
I subscribed to your youtube channel and wow, very impressive knowledge. Thanks for doing that and sharing what you learned over the years.
The last video I can find on Epson p600 says cone color doesn't think a...
I also found recently "precision color". Appears to be middle of the road pricing and a very good website but cannot find any commentary on that ink/printer combo
Hi all, new to forum and have a question about third party inks and carts for Surecolor P600 printer.
I have done some research (and have minimal experience) on this, other forums and websites and I see several major players for quality aftermarket refillable cartridges and inks.
The things...
