Thank you gentlemen for your great answers, I WILL keep them where I can read them the next time that I have problems printing , they are great answers.
Now having said that, I Found the problem, one that I was not expecting at all. I found that both roles of filament, from two different...
Using an Ender 3 printer. Following the recommended settings on the Filaments roles, on all prints, the good and the bad. Each roll of filament is fresh out of the manufacture package. From two different manufactures.
Both prints on the left, the top = wall anchor,,, and the bottom == spinner...
I do have to note that the physical size of both the 245 and the 245xl are exactly the same. Therefore the sponge is the exact same size, and thus they both can hold the exact same amount of ink on a refill. But since on refilling, there is still some ink in the sponge and also down in the jet...
Yes, on the link with Canon. I called their phone number and spoke with one of their agents. It is this agent which gave me the Ink quantity in each of these cartridges, according to his computer, along with the price which Canon sells them directly to you. As I said, Their agent said that the...
I am using the PG-245, PG-245XL, ink Cartage's in my Canon MG2520 printer. On recent Research with Canon, I find that the PG-245 holds 8 ml ink, The PG-245XL holds 8.4 ml ink, or half again as much ink as the PG-245.
Now My printer MG2520 Canon printer also list for use in this printer the...
I started refilling with a HP 500, and in the first 5 years of refilling, I saved just a little over $50,000, which I would have spent if I had been buying those HP carts. This has continued over the years, and I lost count of how many refills that I did. But wore out 3 HP500 and 4 HP560...
I just thought that I might pass on this little thing that happened to me.
A long post
I have multiple Canon ip4200 printers. My wife has one, I have one, and we have a spare. Mine and my wife's printers have very heavy use, the spare just sits there most of the time and I print something on...
Thank you friend, I believe that you are most likely correct. I will pick up another battery for it as soon as I get back into town.
Since I posted above, my resetter started working as it should, even to resetting an already full cartage.

Interesting Note on resetter Operation
I have the RKS Red resetter and have used it for some many months now. It has worked well with every use.
However I just ran into something that had not happened to me with it before. I went to reset a batch of ink cartages and the first one a PGI-5BK...
Hi Ron,
the 15 flashes is for an ink tank not being recognized. That is, the printer does not see the ink tank and thinks that you have an empty spot. Along with this you should have one or more of the ink tanks with no lights on. (dark) The manual says to replace the ink tank.
The 4200's...
Hi, I tried it with my ip4200 with the following result.
Using an empty PGI-5BK cartages which showed as low ink, on the status report. Physically showing no ink at all in the liquid side.
Covering the longest pin with paper tape, 1st test, and again with scotch tape, 2nd test, had the same...
Update:
Update: Printer = ip4200 canon
Since I replaced the fine metal screen on the print head for my Magenta, with a piece of felt, I have been printing since June with it. There is no sign of any nozzle being plugged up.
My understanding is that that silver metal screen is the first...
Hi, I have several Canon IP4200 printers in use right now using the CLI-8. So I can only guess, but I would say that if you loose the chip on a cartage for any reason, shorted, burned out, that this is what they are calling "deactivated" Otherwise I have no idea how one would go about to...
Point of Information on the redsetter chip resetter from RKS
I received my resetter 4 weeks ago and am well pleased with it.
I received the following additional information sheet in my email this afternoon, (6-24-08) and thought that I should pass it on for both those who have ordered from...
Hi,
For Ourselves, my wife and myself use 8 1/2 X 11, 65 LB card stock for regular size half fold and quarter fold cards. I believe that is about the same weight stock used on commercial cards. At least it looks like it, and feels the same. These fit the common card size envelopes.
We use 8...
Hi websnail,
I can only guess. I have used the same ink in BCI-6 and CSI-8 cartages now for many years now And before that the HP500 & HP600 (since 1994) from V-Tech Inc. who does not advertise but works only by word of mouth. I have used inks for both HP printers (HP500 & HP600) as well as a...
Canon IP4200 clogged magenta port, and extremely weird repair. .
First the magenta port became intermittent. I cleaned the print head and got some color printing for a while, another month of printing, then finally suddenly solid clog. I tried all kinds of cleaning without any success, then...
Ah, my friend. I am not the most knowledgeable person in these matters, and of course I bow to your greater knowledge.
However I thought that I had answered that question when I said
I just cannot help wondering just how much ink that Canon has really put into those new cartages.
Now I...
I think that I see what you are getting at. So let me say this, In My opinion, If you reset the chip when the cartage is empty, and then do not refill the cartage, but instead put that same empty reset cartage back into the printer without the adding of ink, and then continue to print until...
Yes! It reset all of my cartages which had been refilled many, many, times, the release function of the printer had been used for every one of them. Then the redsetter reset the same cartages, and when placed back into the printer, the printer treated them just as if they were brand new Canon...
