My new Epson SC-P900 printer: terrible amount of ink down the drain

Well I dont have a SC P900 but I do love my P800, no clogs, no mess, no fuss :fl. Well TBH that is after I got over the initial shock of ink takeup and priming and the miserable barstewards giving you 64ml cartridges instead of the full size 80ml. :barnie Still better than getting one of those...

My new Epson SC-P900 printer: terrible amount of ink down the drain

274g (=274ml ?) does seem to be large amount of ink and would be a huge chunk of change if you had to buy the ink on top of the purchase price of the printer without ink supplied. I do think that there is a case to be made that they do this intentionally to sell more ink. A quick...

Stratasys case against Bambu and others

Just reading this posted on Redditt and thought that others may find this of interest/concern/amusement/horror :th I have not yet read and digested all the comments but one from someone named WealtheSea8475 who seems knowledgeable in patent areas:

Bambu Lab P1S Combo just arrived !

I agree things seemed to have moved quickly in the last few years. My impression too is that other companies are playing catch up and producing "me too" versions and releasing in a hurry onto the market with sometimes lower price points, perhaps before they are fully ready for the masses...

Bambu Lab P1S Combo just arrived !

After mulling it over for quite a while I finally went ahead and the printer arrived a couple of days ago. I wanted/needed an enclosed printer for some of the harder to print filaments. Still finding my feet on this and working my way through Bambu Studio (Orca Slicer) app. Have not printed...

Is your 3D printer killing you slowly?

In the limited amount of printing I have done with PLA I have never witnessed any dust issues even when printed indoors in an unvented living area. Having said that I have only ever printed using either black or white PLA in the mid-priced bracket. Could it be that in some/cheaper PLA the dust...

    Connecting MG5350 via wifi

AFAIK all of the newer Canon printers have WiFi connection. I suspect that the instruction is a translation problem and the button reference missed the point that you need to select WiFi/Network in the menu. Does this vid help?

Penaltys for opting out of HP instant Ink?

I am not familiar with your printer or HP T&Cs, but I was under the impression that you could cancel the Instant Ink contract and your printer would still work until the end of the contract period with your existing inks Being curious I did some research and it seems that impression is false...

Epson WF-2960 icon missing from Windows Taskbar; can't access Utilities

There is a limited time to roll back updates I think around 10 days? All systems should be considered broken including Windows and Mac OS. Looking at a broader picture you may also wish to consider the UK Post Office/Fujitsu problems and numerous security breaches within our NHS. If you turn...

Epson WF-2960 icon missing from Windows Taskbar; can't access Utilities

Rarely do Windows updates cause problems in my experience and if they do you can always roll back. Disabling updates is not a good idea. You may need to uninstall and reinstall drivers, but there may not be an issue and you may want to just reinstate the option to display the icon in the...

ArgyllCMS 648 patch target for i1 Pro 2 device.

I think it is worth stating that sRGB is a colour space not a setting on a monitor neither are monitors calibrated to sRGB nor any other colour space. sRGB represents a fairly narrow range of colours and is based on a theoretical display using a particular set of phosphors, I believe P22...

ArgyllCMS 648 patch target for i1 Pro 2 device.

Ahh, that makes sense now! I have seen ridiculous asking prices recently on eBay for either the EFI or X Rite. Also some sellers seem to be somewhat economical with the truth i.e. they claim working units due to diagnostic tests but fail to mention that any software will require a licence to...

ArgyllCMS 648 patch target for i1 Pro 2 device.

There is no retail version and there really should not be any rebranded versions. If you have paid for any version to any other than Graeme Gill (author) there is something very wrong. The software is provided FOC but the author fairly asks that you may consider donating even a small amount...

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

I suspect that I will probably pass on deltas due to the limited build volume. As to calibration, I did calibrate my A30 when I first set it up. I also have a small CNC which follows the same type of calibration process. CoreXY is a new concept for me but my limited research suggested that...

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

Thanks for the tips. Had not even considered moisture as a possible issue and will look into 3DLAC 👍

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

Thanks, that looks very interesting with one hell of a specification! Just had a look at this even the T1 should be worth considering.

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

Thank you for your advice. My limited experience with PLA has mostly been positive and certainly helped my learning of the art of FDM printing; still have a long way to go. My thoughts about ABS, ASA etc relate to items that may be exposed to extreme conditions such as heat and moisture such...

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

Thank you for your thoughtful advice which is much appreciated. That lamppost is fantastic and a real credit to your expertise. I bet you could also model the dog - surely TPU filament would be the way to go 😀😉 I bought the Geetech as it was cheap and thought that it would make a good starter...

    My Next Fast CoreXY Printer : Bambu Labs X1 / P1S Creality K1 Qidi X-MAX 3 ?

Hope it is ok to add my similar queries to this thread rather than start a new one. I have very little experience of 3d printing other than a few plays with my Geetech A30 producing simple objects and tools from designs found on Thingiverse. Everything printed in PLA which has been OK for...

Priniting issues with Epson SureColor SC-P700

Just a few suggestions that may be of interest: Vertical Banding Turn off the High Speed setting in the printer driver. Align the print head. For vertical banding or paper is smeared, have you tried to clean the paper path...
