You didnt mention if the printer started giving this odd nozzle check suddenly, or the problem was increasing. As per the squares in the dark magenta it could be an electrical problem, also you have tested several carts, is the same problem present with the other carts too? Are the carts you...
If you are in the Unit e States you should buy a MP610 it will cost you around 70 dollars in Cr---list or E--y, it is a good printer, make sure to buy a chip resetter for CLI-8, the other option is MP620, this printer uses smaller cartridges, and it has Wi-Fi. Either model is good, MP610 is a...
It happened to me once, I came to believe I reprinted the nozzle check thus getting the dark colors. The printer was a IP4500, after that all other nozzle check are light colored, even with several printer models, you shouldnt experience any problems when printing.
Dont buy those carts, they destroyed my IP4200 printhead a few years ago, a hard lesson learned. I only use Canon carts refilled with german method, not a single problem.
I saw a guy using the german method with the carts your printer uses, you could give it a try, and remember stay away from...
I read a post of an user stating OCP has a strong odor that vanishes in a few minutes. OCP has many ink types and seems to develop several specific formulas in order to get along with printers.
Recently a friend got a supply from Rjet for his Canon, and also told me of this odor, he definetily...
It is a fact that it works great but if you find another design it would be better, this is very fragile, I had to dismantle mine and mod it in order to work. There is a little switch inside that not always is pressed down enough and you have to fight with it, otherwise it is a bang for the buck.
You can go all the way with the IP4500, it is a beautiful printer, very fast and has an excellent printing quality. I have owned one of these for a few years now, it is like the first day, sometimes it is used several times a day and it never fails. I have refilled it since
Ive got it with HC...
The last time I was getting that error and the same behavior was the purge unit, just push the pads downwards, it should be working from the moment you do that after a turn off/on. To get rid of that problem I had to disassemble the printer and I found a tiny piece of plastic under the pads.
I...
I am also happy with HC. I just use the Canon Profile and it renders nice prints, vibrant colors and very good hues, I would dare to say I prefer it over the Canon OEM because of vivid colors, and of course it is waaay cheaper.
Photoshop offers color variations this could help to get better...
Id like to add to qwerydude advice this. Remove the porous pad where the head parks with a pair of tweezers and wash it with boiling water to remove the dried pigments and add the Windex directly to the rubber tray, check if this can help.
In the other hand I also swapped carts and the problem...
I used a syringe and warm water (better if you use distilled water) to get a perfect nozzle check from a totally absent pigment in the nozzle check, I just used the syringe with its needle. I used like a pressure water gun in the printhead filter and the nozzles. I just filled the syringe like...
