Only the photo black has a visible defect in the nozzle pattern. The other colors band look perfect even when magnified, but not on their respective blocks. Remember the blocks in every color is a mix of all of the other colors. The reason for the not perfect blocks is because the photo black is...
Perhaps the inkset for CLI-x51 is just to get a good color match to OEM ink. CLI-x26 will work good with a printer profile or some tweaking on the driver settings. Assuming that you dont have any ink just get the right ink for your printer. Best thing to do is to get high quality ink and a set...
Here you can see the patches which looked black and good. Also there is a lighter Magenta patch similar to BK blocks. Sorry for the big images. @The Hat let me know if I set them as thumbnails.
The area in the blue rectangle is not defined, it has some kind of blur. The edges marked by the red rectangle are not defined, they are like smeared. This is the darkest M patch which looked black in my previous post. I hope this scan let you see things clearer.
Hi Hat, as you mentioned only 3 colors are required to produce any color, it is the principle of RGB. Photo black just gives deeper blacks and I less ink from C, Y, M is used, so some ink is saved and other colors are used in much smaller proportions to print different dark tones. Again, it is...
Notice how the fuzzy black problem spreads to other colors. Some fine details like hair or vertical fine striped shirts are not printed correctly due to this problem. Perhaps Canon knew this or maybe not, but once the photo black gets damaged the other colors suffer from this defect.
It is...
I think 3rd party black dye/photo black along with gray the less fade resistant colors. Black in my observation turns reddish or brownish with time. Pure black patches or some black and white prints suffer from this problem. With my MG6120 prints they are less fade resistant than the ones...
When the paper is jammed you get the 5700 error code then you have to turn the printer off as indicated, then when the printer is turned back on the paper is ejected, so no need to pull the paper and risk to damage any gear.
It is not advisable to pull the paper as this movement is against...
I am getting the same problem in IP4700, all sensors were checked and sprayed with contact cleaner, also all of the timing plastic strips were cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and no success, I was suspecting that the feeding unit was the one causing the error.
Somehow the error comes when you...
I have seen grain issues recently when trying to profile a Canon IP4700, print software is Qimage though it is the 2008 Studio version, some prints come out grainy and others not.
I will have to check the prints with an updated Qimage version, which I have. It was only when I tried to make a...
@mikling the problem you described is easily solved with a fresh install of Windows. A friend of mine told me about the same situation, at first I didn´t believe him, but he was quite confident that in some months somehow his prints were not good, and not using color management at all, just OEM...
You are welcome Paul, it is good to all members here that you share your experiments results. Canon knowing that Chromalife 100+ is better than the Chromalife 100 in CLI-8 carts, reduced the size of the carts compensating the size with better ink quality, this is the CLI-221-226-251 series, now...
Any opinions about Profile Prism? It relies on a scanner to make profiles, I like the fact that you only scan the pattern printed, have any of you have tested a recent version?
@mikling Sorry for all your loss of money. :rant
You should consider your international customers, if they are a small number then you should discard international shipping, being the one running the bussiness will let you know what actions to take. Also consider insurance even if that makes...
