have been having a closer look at the jet tec black that is presently not installed in my mg5250
the airway is uniquely situated in the front of the cart and testing with a pin proved it not to be a
simple through hole, but one that turned at right angles and went down the...
Thanks for your reply, interesting info. i'm always interested in other peoples findings but it seems nobody has experimented with jet tec carts and i thought i'd give refilling them a try. as a user of their ready filled carts in Epson and Canon machines i was always impressed by their build...
Not sure what you mean by 2 sponges, i can tell you that the sponge on the ink outlet is a seperate piece to the main sponge inside the tank. Much the same as the canon in fact which also is a seperate outlet sponge.
They are easier to fill as the entire right hand side is opaque and you can see...
Right with printer off press and hold the red triangle cancel button, still holding cancel press and hold the power on button till the green led lights. when the green power led lights release the red triangle button but still hold the power button in. then with the power button still held press...

some more info on my brothers attempt to waste ink reset on his mg6150, v1.050 just wouldn't work he kept getting error 06. So he decided to try the v3200 which prints out the eeprom on my mg5250 and bingo it functioned perfectly the first time. So you mg6150 users take heed v3200 is...
yep i think you're right i just fired up my printer normally and not in service mode and when i went to print the eeprom it responded with error 06. he obviously is not doing something correctly.

hi, does anybody know which service tool is the correct one for pixma mg6150. i believe it is v1.050 but has anybody actually used a tool on the mg6150 and confirmed it works?
my brother tried v1.050 on his mg6150 and said he got error 06?

As long as the carts are physically the same you can put your chips on the other carts. with my pixma mg5250 the 525/526 carts are not transparent but the 520/521's have a transparent window (easier to fill).
So i bought some empty 520/521's from ebay flushed them and put my original chips on...
ammonia especially concentrated is a regulated chemical in the uk, used to be a favourite for bank robbers to spray security guards with.
obtaining it is almost impossible i think and i wouldn't want to use some household cleaner as you will not know what chemicals its made up with. too risky...
below is another link for download and use of canon service tool v3200, its a long link because that is the translate page as it was a non english site...
hi pbj,
just pondering over the eeprom read out 4x6+KG=00008, the 00008 does match the df= value and the 4x6 matches the 24 month initial df= value (see page 54/62) so the +KG must be a minus count value. in my case KG must be -16 i.e. 24+ -16 =00008. so dont know if there is a KG...
i live in the u.k what and where can i get concentrated ammonia. is it readily available to the public. sounds like it might a restricted sale type of thing
yes i had a paper jam once and the another time the refill plug rose up from the cart causing a the cart carriage to jam. both flagged up errors but switching off and unjamming cured the problems. i had the print out an in isopropol cause a faulty ink flow made me think the head was blocked but...
hi, personaly in a centrally heated enviroment i run my nozzle check once a week because even if you have used the printer there is no guarantee that you have used all the colours. better safe than sorry and cost is negligible if you refill your own carts.
by the way a good supplier for refill...
No, like i said before i won't use it till i have to but want to understand it all now. do you have a key to explain what all the codes mean on the eeprom print out?
also the df= code appears to be a value based on time not use, a sort of shelf life monitor for the absorber pad. the manual says...
