Thanks "The Hat" for your response.
Sorry, your fifth sentence seems, to me, to be contridictory. You say "...top up any cartridge that need more ink later". If you can, after refilling all the cartridges, top up any cartridge that need more ink later, why not just always "top up later"?
BTW...
I have a Canon Pro-100, and thus CLI-42 type cartridges.
If a cartridge chip has not yet signaled the printer that it is low, or empty, does the chip ever need to be reset?
Suppose I let the cartridges just remain in the head-holder and top them off with ink. Will that work for all time? That...
I cast my vote, if such are allowed, with ThrillaMozilla's post.
Depending of physical placement, Ethernet has always been my way of connecting computers and other devices. Of course, since I started in 1992 with networking, Ethernet made sense since USB, and WiFi, were not around.

Don't know your OS in any detail; but, you may be able to set, in your hosts file, "epson update URL"=localhost. This will block your computer from connecting with epson.
OTOH, if the problem is due to allowing Epson to connect with you, then a firewall setting will do the trick.
Obviously I...
thanks for the reply. Just having a bad day. However, my Firefox browser is V 40. Guess I'm just too old, 80 years, for this stuff; although I've been using browsers/editors on the web for 29 years. Sorry for the rant.
guess I'll just have to look at the "Redactor" users manual.
Do you have a...
Image editing computer is first floor front house-one, printer computer is second floor rear house-two. I think you're correct. I'll just have to re-set all the IP address to static, remove the DHCP addressing, construct the DIY antennas and figure out how to install the paper then run over to...
Thanks for the response. Can't do mobile phone – don't have one. Optical can't be done- houses are attached to each other with brick walls between and plaster lath walls. I guess I'll just try three routers, one client-bridge to my AP and from there to a client-bridge in the other house with DIY...
Yes, both are stand alone. I'm trying to keep my image-editing/storage computer dis-connected from the internet. As an amature radio operator I abhor powerline adapters. They spew so much interference that I've never considered using them. I have a WLAN client-router connected to my computer...
I've been using forumn editors since 1986, and this editor reminds me of such an old editor.
Why can't you get obtain a good, free, fourm software?
I can think of several peices of SW that have better UI's than what I now see on your site.
Yes, I'm just ranting because I abhor your editor.
I'd...
My image editing computer is not connected to my computer which prints to my Cannon PRO-100.
How would you suggest I get my edited LR images over to the PRO-100. Sinker net? I can not connect my editing computer to my remote computer and I can not move my printer over to the editing computer...

Printers with those three functions are usually identified as "AIO". Bulk FAX sending is usually done by software; i.e., create your text and via a process transform it into a form which the software can use. The SW then, using your computer to internet/printer connection "dials" numbers and...
How long has is been since the printer has been given a good cleaning? I've used HP toner based printers for decades. They all put toner all over the inside of the printer, including fuser drum cleaning felts, and will thus, over time, start to create "dirty" prints. Of course, having a...
I second that. Actually have two WRT54G's, one AccessPoint and one ClientBridge. But all of the stuff is wired; just used them to extend the range in this plaster lath and brick walled house :-(
Thank you to everyone who replied. A special thanks to @opurora and @CakeHole . I'm trying TurboPrint currently. CUPS never seems to have all the needed functionality, IMHO.
Anyone know how to install a linux driver for the Canon Pro-100 on Ubuntu or oSUSE or Debian?
If so, how?
So far, using the above listed OS's I've not been able to find any sort of driver that when installed will send a proper print stream to the network, eith0, connected printer.
As an aside...
