Try some silicon fuel line from your RC model hobby shop. I think mine carries 3-4 sizes and it stretches quite a bit to fit snugly.

ISF, I'd be interested in what dye ink you've found to have a higher volume gamut. I may try it on the next load.
Below is the +20% inkload of the BCH Premium Dye ink on Epson Glossy showing 703,000 for color volume. I know some printers do not allow you to set the ink load, but at least the...
I'm using ColorThink Pro 3 for the gamut volume size.
I found increasing the ink load increases the gamut volume with that software. Going much higher in the ink load percentage setting suddenly causes it to drop fast. Sort of interesting and wish there was a faster way without printing test...
What I have found with the BCH ink is to load the Epson up to around 20-25% more ink load in the printer driver settings. I noticed the printed xrite and BasICColor profiling patches seemed a little bit lighter in color and increasing the ink load helped a lot. Wish there was a more accurate...
Couple of things to try.
If you have access to a fiberglass scratch brush, use it on the tops of all the ink carts on the gold contacts. Sometimes some crud gets on them and can throw up a multiple cart "ink cart not seen error." Seems my Magenta Vivid and I think the Yellow seem to affect...
I wouldn't use ammonia as it reacts badly with copper if moisture is present. I believe much of what is in the print head is copper-based that has been etched.
Specifics: https://www.researchgate.net/post/Is_copper_suitable_in_ammonia_system
I've used ISO 91% and maybe stronger in a recent...
Dunno.
I've had 3D printed parts break with a little stress applied. They were under warranty and the place that made them made them thicker on the updated part, but you could still see the 3D printer fiber strands where they were built up.
See the photo below where one bracket cracked...
haha! :plbb
Already did by printing with it this AM. Loaded up the ink carts and changed the maintenance cart. All seems well and the USB worked as it should too. Nozzle checks 100% good.
Wish I had the "Epson Service Program" to further tune it, maybe better than factory. Found one on...
Success! Working again. LCD lit up right after a brief brush of the ribbon cable contacts with a fiberglass scratch brush. One maintenance cleaning seems to have brought it all back to good nozzle checks again after have been disassembled (Maybe some air in line prior.).
Windows 10 must have...
I'd suggest you also get a x-rite ColorMunki Photo and make your own profiles since you are self-loading ink. The new version of the device's software does a really good job with B&W images too. Makes the ordeal a lot easier and faster too.
I've been using BCH Technologies dye ink for a while...
Five hours and got the bloody carriage thing installed.
But now the LCD display won't light up! Power comes on and makes sounds like it is working and head moves again. Suspect the ribbon cable to LCD is messed up. Thing is a mess of ribbon cables and a lot of them are bent into special...
Part showed up from China to USA, from the date from whenever I ordered it on here (Aug. 26,2018). About 9-10 days given the Labor Day holiday.
Seems the new print-head carrying part of the carriage sticks a bit on sliding up and down, but maybe it will break in. Used a bit of dry silicon oil...
Check ebay as they have some refurbished and new. https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2499334.m570.l1313.TR3.TRC0.A0.H0.TRS0&_nkw=Epson+wf-4734&_sacat=51328
However, the cost may exceed the printer price though as I saw new one for $350 in USA, and that printer was around $299...
I see that gray bar around 5:30 mark that shows a couple of screws in it on top of the carriage area, although the parts manual shows five screws holding it on in total. I think that's what goes on top of the part that broke off. Must be some sort of slide for the top part of the carriage that...
I've used the CA glue + baking powder in model airplanes and balsa wood when I was into that stuff.
The problem with the broken piece is trying to get it back into where it came out. I pried and wiggled the piece before it came out, and it was like working a puzzle. I don't know how to get...
Seems some flat spring by the upper right white gear in the carriage may have fatigued the plastic there and broke it loose. I wiggled it and fished it out and can see the underside where it snapped off the carriage and was jamming the thing.
I may try and re-glue the piece with the spring off...
I don't think it's that.
The carriage jumps a bit when it hits something and stops. It looks like it is striking some small paper-clip looking things on top of the long gray steel slider at the top rear of the carriage. The carriage assembly feels loose and wiggles. I can wiggle it while off...
Thanks Hat, but PayPal sent me an email this AM saying the China printer outfit is preparing shipment for a new carriage. Maybe 2-3 weeks out.
Given it took me two weeks to unplug the other Epson 3880, spending a few days tearing into the wonky carriage one might not be too bad. Don't know if...
Okay. Google found someone on the Luminous Landscape site who did take one apart in 2014 for what seems the same thing maybe. But it took him 10 hours (over two days?) to get it apart! It'll take me a week with the manual.
Ugh!
Why doesn't Epson make these things easier to work on.

Something happened to one of my 3880's. I heard it making a short sweep across the paper and then a yellow paper jam light came on and the head was stopped in the middle.
I hit the paper eject and paper rolled on out and was smooth. No crumple like it was ahead strike. Paper was just typing...
