Constructive feedback?!! Are you insane...?!!
I mean... It's just... Well... Really! :th :smack:lol:
--- Please excuse us while we adjust our attitude ... *cue: Elevator music* ---
*ahem*.
Yeah... that's actually a good idea but in fairness that sort of guide is two a penny when it comes...
Me' thinks y'all need to get out more but okay... Feast your eyes on yonder treatise on the purpose of battery changes for ye' olde T6710 chip resetter
https://www.octoink.co.uk/docs/kb/epson-chip-resetter-battery-replacement/
Footnote: I mean... it's not like the guide didn't show you how to...
That heart melting moment when you go to check on an FAQ article you wrote to help folk fix something fairly simple and you get this gem of a feedback for it.
I didn't edit it to remove the swearing but sometimes you wonder why you bother...
So, with a microsecond of concern that humanities...
Well... FWIW, I have customers who've gone that route and tried things out. From last count the success rate has been around 30-40% but these are people who've taken a punt and not expected miracles. Long term I've not had any data come back but these were mostly people I've spoken to at length...
There was a news release recently that indicated Canon was pursuing legal action against some retailers for distributing and/or manufacturing the fake (reconditioned) printheads. Can't find it at the moment but it seems Canon have taken notice.
That said it's a shame that Canon haven't...
:clapYep that will work for pouring out... You do need to allow air in to allow the ink to exit though. For this I use a sharp needle with a long piece of tubing attached as a sort of vent chimney. You make sure the end of the vent tube is about a foot or more above where you'll hold the...
Interesting... Did you not have any of the WJ807 base fluid? Can't remember if I've ever provided you with any of that...
Worth noting that the Paul Roark B&W recipe's use with 807 Base or the WJ804 GLOP as a CIB, with pigment inks as well so might that be worth trying too?
I have the...
Okay... As I'm in the process of reviewing our inks and the like going forward I'm open to purchasing a small amount of these inks for decanting and making available via the OctoInkjet store. We've done it with other inks like the ingredients for Paul Roark's B&W ink set so this isn't too much...
In case anyone has an HP printer that has received that joyous of all wonderful gifts, ie: a firmware update over July/August (2022) then chances are your compatible (non-OEM) cartridges are no longer being accepted all over again. I think this is the third time they've pulled this stunt despite...
Honestly the iP4500 was in my opinion one of the best built printers before Canon started down the "cut quality, lower cost" route so if you can get a decent unit with sealed printheads I'd seriously consider it. That said, consider that printer drivers may be an issue if you're using a Mac.
As...
Late to this but I had the benefit of historic orders to go on. Chances are that one or more of the cartridges (photo black and grey are "good"(?) candidates) has degraded ink flow due to the ink starting to clog up the mesh/sponge located in/around the outlet area.
I'll lay odds that the new...
To save any blushes later I should note that I only have any insight into the Epson B&W inks as per Paul Roark's recipes and due to time constraints most of my experience is third hand through customer shared info and from Paul himself so I'm no expert in the subject.
I normally don't plug anything remotely like this but as I really just want some kudos (I hope!) for the effort and hard work I thought I'd share it more directly and risk the wrath of the fire axe wielding mods for once.
I've completed a set of four videos all relating to the Pro-300 covering...
Have gone through the ET-2750 I have here and the only place I can find plastic like that is protecting the tubing for the CIS system and it's a longer piece so not much help I'm afraid.
And in other news... I've added a few more videos this past week covering.
Full set swapping for the Pro-300 although it covers the overall process for those with and without chip resettable cartridges.
Flushing & initial refilling cartridges that have never been refilled before (primarily for...
I know where you're coming from with this. The difficulty I see with this is that the only way to guarantee that a user puts the full amount of ink into the cartridge is to do one of two or three things.
Have a table of cartridge weights that indicate when a cartridge is full (probably the most...
