For the avoidance of doubt on this, yep, there is a commercial product but the purpose of this post is to solicit, nay beg for, feedback on this video with particular emphasis on two key questions:
Does it terrify the end-user and leave them running for the local recycling centre to dump their...
If I were a betting man I'd suspect that the compatible cartridges had faulty chips and the seller has gone AWOL because they realised it was a problem.
Recommend trying another source of the cartridges that has feedback and other indications that show they actually have a working product.
Same results here... Worth noting that the XP950 is very similar in design so if you can source that service manual that "should"(?) suffice.
As to the AdjProg, the only sources for those all require hardware id's and activation procedures, etc... If you're just wanted to reset waste ink...
I'm aware of them and have had some keys sent to me for evaluation (for resetting waste ink counters). They are promoted by some other experienced users in the YouTube sphere too.
However, my complaint with them is that they still haven't resolved the (alleged) false positive malware...
Curious to do a follow up on this.
How are the pigment inks working out in the sponged cartridges and the XP-15000?
"Common" sense told me you'd start to see clogging and flow issues in the cartridges within a reasonably short period of time but sense ain't all that common so I'm genuinely...
Much as this might sound a bit counter intuitive there's a reason that we (OctoInkjet) have not pursued compatible inks for the high end ET series like the 8500 and 7700 series of printers. It makes very little sense to have such expensive printers and use inks that only really save you a few...
Honestly... no I'm not sure. There's a lot of cr*p hitting the proverbial fan because of that flustercluck of nationalised jingoism gone bad but at this stage it's hard to work out what or who is to blame for whatever the crisis de jour might be. I guess we'll see...
Erm.... Just to note... The yellow jello issue isn't so much dead as most folk have learned to avoid it.
Personally I would recommend either switching out your CLI-42Y cartridges with CLI-8Y's complete with a chip swap (so the printer reads the correct 42Y chip) and be 100% certain it's not...
Unlikely you'll find anything public as it was all developed commercially. The main problem with these isn't the design of the chip so much as the encryption that's used to obfuscate the information the chip is providing.
I've spoken to one of the main manufacturers for these (REdSETTER) and...
I may be wrong on this but retail outlets seem to be behind on pricing at the moment. The wholesalers that we use are quoting silly prices for bulk purchases. I suspect you'll see a sudden bump in the next month or so...
Unfortunately paper supplies have dramatically altered in the last 2 years. Standard office/copier paper is now retailing at over 100% increase compared to this time last year and while I haven't had the time to confirm it seems that a number of paper mills have gone under, with others being...
Ahah... You're right:

I'd forgotten that the newer ET units had the maintenance box in an easily accessible position, not via an external access panel.
EDIT: Okay... humble pie moment.. Seems these units DO have a user replaceable maintenance box locate in much the same position as found in the ET8500 and ET8550 units so that'll teach me to shoot my mouth off early.
So, credit where due, maybe Epson have learned their lesson after all...
Just to interject, in terms of using CLI-8 cartridges and/or ink in the Pro-100.
Yes, swapping the chips so that CLI-42 chips are on the CLI-8 cartridges will work fine.
Sucking the ink out of the CLI-8 carts is possible but using a flush clip (or a modified orange clip) to attach to the...
One other thing to try... Remove all cartridges and cap them. Check the outlet of the PGI-72CO cartridge for any sign of cyan (or anything other than clear fluid).
Next, remove the printhead, soak a piece of folded kitchen towel with either a cleaning solution or distilled/deionised water...
Perhaps it might be worth posting a comment via one of the most recent YouTube videos.
FB made a bunch of changes to the pages and groups that make navigation of the back-end system a bit more challenging of late so it may be a lack of awareness more than anything.
I've been keeping an eye on the reports of customer service when it comes to the expensive ET series and it seems Epson haven't really learned to treat them any differently from their bog standard cartridge fed machines.
There's still plenty of reports of "buy a new one" for something less than...
You've answered your own question if I was to make an educated guess. Anything that made refilling, CIS systems, etc... easier has been readily abandoned in favour of split hair refinements that make OEM tolerances tight but workable while making compatibles harder to maintain.
