    FLUSHING....WHY?

I guess it depends on much of the water or pharmacists solution you remove from the cart before doing this centrifuge thing. I draw most of the liquid out through the exit port on the cart using the one of my flushing clips hooked up to a large syringe and them give it a quick weight chk just to...

    FLUSHING....WHY?

That's why you first wrap the set of carts in a paper towel that has been folded over into several thickness's. The check the paper towel after several whirls and you will see you may need to replace the paper towel. When the paper towel is no longer getting saturated then you are probably...

    FLUSHING....WHY?

At first I did this in my garage but then as I saw what was happening I now do it in basement where I do all my refilling. Just make sure are whirling it a vertical circular pattern. I learned on my first try whirling it in a horizontal plane over my head. Lowered my arm when I thought I was...

HP PSC 1610 All in One

Interesting..... So we are saying both carts have had their mesh filter punctured possibly by the blunt end of the needle used to refill the cart. I have this same printer and hp1610 and have never experienced this exact same problem but other unexplainable problems that I usually just give...

Well all is well with my printing magenta problem. I have been printing quite a bit lately actually gone through one magenta cart and half way through another. Grandad35 I agree with you. No real answers but I did get some good experience dis assembling a print head and then flushing it. The...

:):)Well I decided PeterBJ was right not to put the unknown head into another printer and take a chance on possibly ruining another printer. So I decided to take Grandad35s advice to flush the ceramic part of the head with Windex. But first I decided to “practice” with the old original print...

Has anybody come up with a good way to push water or cleaner through the ceramic plate and out the micro ports or vice versa when the head is dis-assembled from the upper part which has the inlet ports???

:idunnoThe printhead that I dis-assembled was the original one that I found plugged up after I returned from a 3 week vacation. I played with it for about 3 weeks and finally gave up and disassembled it to try and clean it. When I put it back together and installed it the clogs appeared to be...

Do you think the head on the old printer is scrap or worth saving? Best way to store it if its worth saving?

Well here’s the whole story. I’ve written so much about this problem that I’m leaving out some important info. I’m sorry I forgot to say that neither of the two OEM Mag. Carts solved the problem of the ink starvation. :he I recently had the printer turned off and unplugged for 36 hours...

Well I got a good nozzle check to print out but the magenta was a little weak in brightness. So for now I have shut down the printer and pulled the plug. Ill give it 24 hours to see if anything happens.

Ok guys here’s the latest. I still have the same problem. I agree it is ink starvation but only with the magenta color. Im pretty sure the problem is not the cartridges. I flushed an old set of 220/221 carts as HAT suggested and top refilled them. I also changed the chips to 226 and 225...

Thanx for the advice HAT, At this point in time I will try anything. I think I have left over 220/221 carts from my old mx860. I think there are some with the clear windows on the side. I will flush them and prep them by changing the chips. I am going to make a setup so I can top fill these by...

PeterBJ I am hesitant on buying another new oem magenta cart for this thing. As I explained I have a full set of new oem carts that most are now about half full. They are about 5 months old but have been covered with clips and then sealed up in a ziplock bag. I have been keeping this set to...

To be clear here I only change one thing at a time so I can easily keep track of what Im doing. R U saying to make up a set of carts with just pharmacist solution in them and then just keep doing deep cleaning until the carts are empty and then put in a full set of refilled carts and start...
