    3D LED sign..

Fantastic experiment! Really great ideas and design! Great points! As you stated, this was an experiment. Plenty of opportunity to refine and perfect in the ways you suggested! I've been wanting to do something similar, but using LED's like these: https://amzn.to/4434eLn ... or ones with color...

    What Are You Printing Today?

I've had this salt-shaker for about 20 years (maybe more) and the rubberish plug at the bottom is completely hard and cracked. So, with onshape, some TPU and a bit of work, I made a replacement that works perfectly (2nd try):

    3D Printed Neon Signs

I noticed that too! Part of me was wondering why they would need to keep the area below the glass cool... didn't make any sense. ... then I got to wondering if there might be some heater somewhere in there and the fans are to move the hot-air around under the glass to keep it evenly heated?

    What Are You Printing Today?

The GF has a solar fountain in a big dish. The nozzles that come with it shoot the water too high and out of the dish, so she's forced to refill it multiple times a day. I decided to print a few different nozzles to balance functionality (looks and sound) with keeping water in the dish. A few...

It also looks like they have a solvent on the glass bed to assist with adhesion.

    3D Printed Neon Signs

Ah, thanks for the correction. I got my terminology wrong. Yes, two extruders. Ya, really odd there isn't any direct print cooling (that I can see)... but clearly it's working well for them and giving really good prints. I'm definitely thinking the latter, especially the closer I look: On the...

    3D Printed Neon Signs

.... wait, maybe I'm wrong? Is that a dual-color (one more translucent than the other) vs. mix of the same color? I don't see a purge-tower or similar for color-swapping, but it looks like the print does have different materials in different layers.

    3D Printed Neon Signs

I thought this video was cool. One thing I noticed I hadn't seen before: TWO extruders and TWO hot-ends, feeding into one nozzle! I've seen lots of ways people get more filament heated and flowing, but this one was definitely new to me!

I'm a nerd, I have printers, what could possibly go wrong!

Welcome to our group!!! I bet that would come in handy if you started messing with Octoprint, Klipper, etc! Wow, that's epically awesome. They know their Dad well! I do love tinkercad, but I wish I would have put 80% of the time I spent in tinkercad and just forced myself to learn Onshape (or...

    What Are You Printing Today?

Wow, that looks fantastic, thanks for sharing! Resin prints do come out really nice... I'm still just too scared to go down that path. Also, most of my stuff is bigger / mechanical with less need for fine detail... I don't really do models, etc.

Anniversary update on Standard Lamp Mark V..

Wow, that pic is recent?!?! Two years old?!?! I'm shocked, amazed, and impressed! I don't know if there are many people that have successfully printed such a thing and had it last so long... especially out of PLA, no?

    What Are You Printing Today?

This project kept me up until 3:30 am last night since I got the idea at around 1am and couldn't sleep until I had tested it. LOL! I have a set of broken headphones, so I designed and printed a bracket to hold everything together. I might refine it / clean it up a bit because it's not super...

Printing TPU on Stock Ender 3 V2
