Epson 3800 had a blocked yellow channel. Took the dampers off cleaned the channel, got some jets back. Now the printer prints nothing but still wastes ink during cleaning cycles. No errors on the front panel. Suggestions?
well i cleaned all the contacts and no improvement. In fact, if you power up the printer with any of the ffc cables disconnected it throws an error so that was never it. So RIP 3800.
Thank you for your detailed reply. The printer does cleaning properly and wastes ink the way it should. It’s just the printing that fails. I ordered some de-oxit and will clean the ffc cables that go into the little circuit board on the print head and we’ll see.
thank you. no scorching anywhere on that little pcb sitting on print head damper assembly or the ribbon cables going to it. All the little cables are properly plugged in
