Grey in nozzle check where it should be cyan!

Thank you all for your expert opinions, adn I shall keep my fingers crossed, but brace myself for adding htis printer to my pair of MG 5350s with the B200 error collecting dust in the corner.

Grey in nozzle check where it should be cyan!

So... I did a new nozzle check on clean paper, having set the output of ScanGear to be .png. And what do I get? A near-perfect (to my eyes) result, complete with Cyan bands as they should be. Bizarre! Here's the scan, and at 600dpi this time.

Grey in nozzle check where it should be cyan!

Thanks. It'll be a while before I get all that done, but I'll come back when I have something to report. OOI did you also do the photoshop analysis of the band that is supposed to be grey? I'd be interested to know what it says.

Grey in nozzle check where it should be cyan!

Scan attached. I took the cyan cart out and pressed the paper with the nozzle check against the wet pad, I then smeared the resulting very dark mark with a damp cotton bud. HTH

Grey in nozzle check where it should be cyan!

Title says it, really. Canon TS 6250 (European , if that matters.) Carts are PGI-580, CLI-581 Everyday document printing and I notice the colours are wrong, not blue enough. First thought was the cyan cart was empty/dry/faulty, so did a nozzle check. My prn [like many] does a grid of black with...

    Printing on CDs

😇 😀 That accolade is safe with you guys! Thanks for the link to the manual, (and always good to have anyway). I'm thinking of doing some cleaning first, to absorb excess ink from the area. Is that pointless? (Knowing that disassembly is not going to be quick or easy.) Oh, and, is it bad to...

    Printing on CDs

Thanks for the summary, correct - I think - in every way. The penultimate paragraph leaves me despondent, which is only slightly countered by the wish to succeed in order to fulfull the final line! However I feel unqualified to understand and master the electronics of the printhead, but I have a...

    Printing on CDs

they posted once, with a slightly vague description of which pins they covered, and never responded to further questions. I tried what I thought they had done, but it didn't work in my case. I can probably find the comment to a youtube vid if you want but all the information is abaov.e

    Printing on CDs

I'm not sure what pissing up rope is, but since others /have/ regained colour printing by covering contacts, then I'd like to try the same - whichever contacts work for my printer, and having then having printed on 20 discs, I won't care that much if it keeps going or not. This job is a favour...

    Printing on CDs

So, does anyone have any information on which contacts to cover to regain colour printing?

    JohnBB Intro

I'm a poor typist, and hate monospaced Courier text, so when I bought my Compuadd 286 pc and discovered HP's first Deskjet (in 1988?) I was very excited. :) ( It was slow, mono, and cost an arm and a leg [£600-800] , plus extra for the font cartridges!!) I've had a few since then, with Canon...

    Printing on CDs

I’m getting the B200 error, and I want to print on CDs. Background:- Both of my Canon MG5350s are showing the B200 fault message. The story I hear from the UK repairers is that the print head has failed, and sometimes the associated logic board – which sounds fatal. But we know that the...
